OutlookStatus
The OutlookStatus icon is a useful way to see the status of your email. It shows you the total number of unread messages, how many unread messages you have, and how much space your mailbox takes up. If you're using a Microsoft email account, you can also see how many unread items you have in a shared mailbox. The other icons in the status bar indicate the filtering options you've used and the total number of items in your current view. The status bar is often a neglected area in software, but the status bar is a great place to look for information about your email. You can see the status of your email in real-time, and even download it to your PC for offline viewing. Some Outlook alternatives, like OutlookStatus, use the folder you're currently viewing to show you what's in your mailbox. If you don't want to use your Outlook desktop, you can use a portable version of OutlookStatus to download email and keep track of your inbox. The status bar also displays information about your mail client, including shortcuts to important features like the message list, email size, and mail server connection. When your computer runs Outlook, it displays information about your mail server and connection. It also shows the reading pane, zoom, and memory information. If you use an email account that's not from Microsoft, such as Gmail, you can also customize the status bar with custom settings.
